A couple of weeks ago I asked my friend, Pierr Morgan, if I could commission some new artwork from her of my three most special birds: Sapphron, Louie and Buddy. I'd been thinking on it for some time and knew Pierr was the perfect choice. With a strong background in illustration and painting, Pierr has been focusing primarily on creating beautiful bird portraits these last few years. Earlier this year she started a new series called "Postcards from Winter", with new bird-themed artwork added to her series every day. Such a joy to see! Now that it's warming up outside, the series has become "Postcards from Spring". If I remember correctly, Sapphron was created and featured on March 19th, the Equinox this year. My springtime prince, Sapphy!
Sapphron is my springtime pal, and we enjoy walking with the blossoms and trees as much as we can. Spending time with him outside is one of my very favorite things to do.
Louie passed away last year on February 23, 2023 and Buddy passed away on June 23, 2020. I have missed them both so much... I still can't believe they're gone. So great to have this beautiful new artwork celebrating my boys!
